Kalamazoo Gazette publishes letter to the editor by Kalamazoo Conversation Project

The Kalamazoo Gazette published a letter to the editor Saturday in which Bess Fitzgerald and Erin Alderman of the Kalamazoo Conversation Project titled “Civility begins with truly listening to one another.”  The letter invites Kalamazoo citizens to take Ordinance 1856 as an opportunity to reexamine how we talk to one another.

First training session

The first training session for Kalamazoo Conversation Project volunteers is tonight, meeting at 1219 Grand Avenue at 7 p.m. It won’t take long–and cookies will be served.

Kalamazoo Conversation Project attending Celebration! Kalamazoo

Volunteers from the Kalamazoo Conversation Project will be at Celebration! Kalamazoo this Sunday, October 11 from 1-4 PM in Bronson Park.  We will be passing out flyers and making the community aware of the opportunity for conversation.

Celebration! Kalamazoo is sponsored by area ministers and by the Kalamazoo Gay Lesbian Resource Center.  It is a time for people from both sides to come together for a day of respect.  For more information see this event flyer and read the Kalamazoo Gazette article.
